Lorraine Irene Moscardini, 80, of Clearwater, Florida, passed away peacefully on Jan. 22, 2026, surrounded by her family.
Born on July 28, 1945, in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Beatrice and Victor LaPlante. Lorraine was known for her strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit, especially as a co-owner of the Lakeshore Deli in Meredith, a beloved community gathering spot.
Family meant everything to Lorraine. She shared a deep, joyful, and enduring love with her husband, William — built on partnership, laughter, and countless memories. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and an energetic spitfire who was always smiling, joking, and on the move.
Lorraine was famous for her potato salad, loved playing card games — especially cribbage — and stayed active in her community. She worked proudly as a substitute teacher at her grandchildren’s elementary school, took daily morning walks, and led the flower committee at South Down Shores in Laconia, where her care helped brighten the neighborhood.
She will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, humor, and the welcoming home she created, always filled with laughter and good food.
Lorraine is survived by her husband, William Moscardini; her son, Thomas Boucher; her stepson, Andrew Moscardini; her grandchildren, Jacob, Emily, Daniele and Joscelyn Boucher; her great-grandchildren; her siblings; and many loved extended family members and friends.
A celebration of life in Clearwater, and a private graveside service in Meredith, will be held at later dates.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Toys for Tots, 97 Daniel Webster Hwy, Meredith, NH 03253.
