CANTERBURY — Kaylee A. Huckins, 49, a longtime resident of Canterbury, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2023, at her home. She was born in Laconia on Feb. 15, 1974, the daughter of Kim S. and Cynthia A. (Cullen) Doubleday.
Kaylee was a graduate of Winnisquam Regional School District class of 1992. She went on to further her education, obtaining her associate degree in accounting and business management. She was employed as the office manager for her family's business, KSD Custom Wood Products in Boscawen. Kaylee worked there for 15 years before her illness forced her to retire.
While in high school she was an active member of her class, serving in the student council, acting in several plays and was her senior class president. Kaylee loved to spend her time vacationing in Aruba, her second home, and her two Shih Tzus, Bella and Brady. She will be deeply missed and will always be remembered as “the life of the party,” making everyone laugh.
She was predeceased by her father-in-law, Donald E. Huckins Sr.
Her family includes her husband of 28 years, Donald E. Huckins Jr. of Canterbury; her daughter, Lindsey M. Huckins of Lebanon; her maternal grandparents, Ralph L. and Reta P. Cullen of Northfield; her mother in law, Wanda Huckins of Northfield; and her niece and nephew, Danielle and Dylan Walker and their parents, Jeff and Heidi Walker.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 5, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Smart Memorial Home, 584 W. Main St., Tilton. A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 6, at 10 a.m. at the memorial home. Burial will be held in the spring at Park Cemetery in Tilton.
