MEREDITH — June R. [Cote] Baker, 86, died on March 1, 2010 at Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia following a sudden illness. Born in Ashland on June 16, 1923 she was the daughter of John and Marjorie [Brazeau] Cote.
June was raised in Ashland she attended Ashland Schools and was a graduate of Ashland High School. June lived in Ashland until 1979 when she and her family moved to Meredith. She was employed at Sprague Electric, Scott & Williams, Belknap County Nursing Home, Merrimack County Nursing Home, and as a hair dresser.
She was member of Saint Agnes Catholic Church in Ashland, and Unit 15 American Legion Auxiliary in Ashland. She enjoyed reading, sewing, gardening, and walking. She was predeceased by her husband Richard Baker.
She is survived by a daughter, Valeta Bridges of Meredith; a son, Thayer Baker of New Hampton; two grandchildren, Sacha Boynton and Keisha O'Conner; two sisters, Erma Limoge of Northfield and Elizabeth Cote of Franklin; two brothers, John Cote of Meredith and Bernard Cote of Florida.; nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held in Green Grove Cemetery Main Street Ashland in the spring. Dupuis Funeral Home Ashland is assisting the family.
