June Eleanor Nault passed away Feb. 5, at 3 a.m.

She was born on Feb. 5, 1947, in Franklin. Due to family circumstances, she moved to Laconia soon after, where she attended school. She lived in Laconia and Loudon all of her 78 years.

June graduated from Laconia High School in 1960, and worked primarily in the tourist industry in the Weirs until later in life.

After high school, June worked for a while at the Shangri-La in the Weirs as an assistant cook. In the 1970s, she and two friends took a 40-day ride to California and back in a van with flowers on it. Later, she and two friends traveled to England, Ireland and Whales on a two-week trip.

June was a crafter all of her life. She enjoyed painting, knitting and crocheting. She was also proficient with stained glass. She was a good cook and learned to decorate cakes.

June had a great love of life and was fond of saying "Where is your sense of adventure?" to convince people to try something new.

June passed away at the Pleasant View Center in Concord, after many years of being bedridden. She is survived by her dear friends Margaret Shephard, Mrs. Sherwood Frazier, Jill Kazimier, and many other friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Memorial Day weekend; more information to follow.
