Josephine M. Lepelley, 72

NORTHFIELD — Josephine Marie (Tilton) Lepelley, 72, of Zion Hill Road, passed away on Monday, Aug. 1, 2016.

Josephine Lepelley was born in New London on May 24, 1944, in New London, to Joseph and Sue (Waltman) Tilton.

Josephine was married to John Lepelley of Northfield, who passed away a little over a year ago. Together they ran and operated their family furniture business.

Josephine was a kind-hearted woman who loved her family and her animals. In her younger years, Josephine enjoyed outdoor activities, baking, and was an amazing painter.

Josephine Lepelley is survived by one son, Scott Lepelley and his wife, Crystal of Northfield; a sister, Mary Eden and her husband, Bob of Brooksville, Florida; three stepdaughters, Tammy Guidi of North Carolina, Lesa Omedeo of Georgia, and Cindy Eden of Illinois; seven grandchildren, Isabella, Allie, Mathew, Kelly, Halley, Franky and Melissa; one niece, three great-nephews; two sisters-in-law, Barbara Chretien and Millie Jameson, a brother-in-law, Harold Lepelley, and of course her beloved animals, four dogs, five cats and a hamster.

There will be no services, per Josephine's request.
