John R. Moreau, 70

INDIANAPOLIS  — John R. Moreau, 70, formerly of Laconia and Concord, New Hampshire, died peacefully on Sunday, Feb. 18, 2018. at his home in Indianapolis.

Born on July 30, 1947m in Springfield, Massachusetts, to Henry and Cecile Moreau, John graduated from Cathedral High School in 1966 and matriculated from the University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy in 1971.

John proudly worked as a pharmacist for 46 years. He started his career at Lakes Region General Hospital, where he met his wife, Diane. John was passionate about his work and proud of his family and the lives they have created. John was an avid reader, history and railroad buff, and long-time sci-fi nerd. He loved to travel, play cribbage and most of all, spend time with his family.

The third of seven children, John was predeceased by his parents, and older brothers, Paul Moreau of Springfield, Massachusetts, and Roger Moreau of St. Paul, Missouri.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Diane (Breton) Moreau of Indianapolis; his son James of San Diego; his daughter Andrea Moreau-O'Donnell, son-in-law Kerry O’Donnell, and beloved granddaughter, Eliana O’Donnell of Indianapolis; and son Michael Moreau and his fiancee, Elizabeth Duermit of Gainesville, Florida.

Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 2, at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant St., Laconia, using the Carriage House entrance. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 3, at St. Andre Bessette Parish-Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Ave., Laconia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 230 East Ohio St., Suite 500, Chicago, IL 60611.
