LACONIA — John Nicholson Anderson, 76, of Gerard Street, passed away on March 22, 2025.
John was born on May 5, 1948, in Laconia, the son of the late Rutherford and Dorothy (Nicholson) Anderson.
John was a graduate of Belmont High School. He honorably served in the Vietnam conflict as a military policeman. He worked as a groundskeeper at the Laconia State School. John enjoyed the simple things in life, old cars, tractors and good old-fashioned movies.
John is survived by his son Dereck Anderson of Virginia, a sister, and his longtime friend, Bruce Hamel of Dunnellon, Florida. Along with his parents, he is predeceased by his daughter, Danyelle Anderson, and several siblings.
According to his wishes, there will be no services at this time.
Burial with military honors will be held at South Road Cemetery, Belmont, at a later date.
