Joan M. Sisson, 79 

Joan M. Sisson, 79, passed away recently after a time of declining health.

Joanie, as she was often known, loved crafting and was a very talented seamstress. She loved her job teaching special education kids as a paraprofessional in Kotzebue, Alaska.

She leaves behind her sister, Carol Vose and husband Bill Vose of Hopkinton, Rhode Island; and her three children, Kimberly Gustafson and her husband Paul Charlton of Laconia, Christopher Gustafson and wife Eliza Gustafson of Longmont, Colorado, and Catherine Jones and her partner Erin Fralinger of Anchorage, Alaska; as well as her grandchildren, Adam Hawkins, Ryan Hawkins, Alison Jones, Molly Fugate, Noah Jones, Camden Gustafson and Alexandru Gustafson; great-grandchildren, Tristan, Owen, Charlotte, Abigail and Zoey.

There is no public service planned at this time.
