PLYMOUTH — Horace Wilder Jenot Jr., 85, passed away at his home with his family by his side on June 3, 2026, after a short battle with cancer.
Horace was born on May 9, 1941, in Northfield, the son of Horace Jenot Sr. and Annie (Sargent) Jenot Colburn.
He worked for Campton Sand and Gravel for many years as a loader operator and was also a foreman. Horace was an avid NASCAR fan. He loved going on camping trips to Maine, with his family and friends. Horace also loved to cook for his family. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed going to games and watching his grandchildren play sports, such as baseball, basketball and football. His son Marc was a race car driver for many years in Rumney, as well as his grandson Jeffery who also raced at many of the local tracks. Horace’s granddaughter Makayla loved going to the races with him. He always loved to stay busy.
Horace is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Marcia (Dickinson) Jenot; his brother-in-law Barry Paquette; daughters Michelle Stevens and Tina Burhoe; four grandchildren, Jeffery Manion and his wife Kristina, Robert Burhoe III and his wife Kristina, Kayleen Burhoe and Makayla Stevens; six great-grandchildren; his sister Joan Parris; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Horace is predeceased by his son Marc Edward Jenot, his sister Betty Colburn, brother-in-law Ronald Paquette and sister-in-law Cheryl Maclean.
Calling hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, June 26, at Dupuis Funeral Home, 9 Hill Ave., Ashland.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Sunday, June 28, at Riverside Cemetery, Fairgrounds Road, Plymouth.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
