BELMONT — Gloria M. Sawicki, 80, formerly of Sawicki Lane, died at the Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, Dover, NH on Sunday, June 11, 2006. She was the widow of Alfred J. Sawicki, Sr.

Mrs. Sawicki was born February 1, 1926 in Franklin, NH, the daughter of Joseph E. and Yvonne M. (Miquelon) Mercier. She lived in Belmont for most of her life before moving to Durham, NH 1 * years ago.

Survivors include two sons, George W. Sawicki and his wife, Cathy, of Petersham, MA and James S. Sawicki of Belmont; four daughters, Diane St. Jean and her husband, Ron, of Barrington, NH, Karen Keller and her husband, Ted, Andrea Dias and her husband, Richard, all of Delta Jct., Alaska and Christine Pellerin and her husband, Greg, of Sunderland, MA; a daughter-in-law, Maureen Sawicki, and her husband, Michael Cavanagh, of Barrington; nineteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a brother, George F. Mercier of Auburn, NH; three sisters, Joan Churas of Manchester, NH, Eileen LaRocca of Durham, NH and Joyce Allen of Jackson, NH and many nephews and nieces. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Alfred J. Sawicki, Jr.

According to her wishes, there will be no calling hours. A Memorial Service will be held at the Tilton School Chapel, School Street, Tilton, NH on Monday, June 19, 2006 at 10:00AM

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Strafford Nutrition/ Meals on Wheels, PO Box 31, Somersworth, NH 03878 or to your local Meals on Wheels Program or your local Food Pantry.
