Gail Patricia (Clement) Morrison, of Franklin, passed away peacefully on Nov. 20, 2025, at home. She was born May 27, 1943, to the late Lewis and Laura Clement of Ipswich, Massachusetts.
Gail was a graduate of Ipswich High School in 1961, Salem State University in 1965, and Franklin Pierce School of Law in 1985.
Gail had many passions. She was an avid and gifted gardener. Her love of music and singing were lifelong, and she was a wide-ranging and engaged reader and writer in both her personal and professional lives. She especially delighted in spontaneous adventures and the experiences and friendships she found along the way.
Gail was also a civil servant who valued honesty and fairness. She was elected to four terms in the New Hampshire House of Representatives and served when called upon on committees devoted to conservancy, civil rights and community service. She was always motivated by her belief in justice, kindness and community.
Gail is survived by her beloved wife, Pauline Chabot, and their four children, Norman, Rachel, Eric and Rebecca, along with grandchildren, Norman, Gabriella, Ruby and Simon.
A celebration of Gail’s life will be held at 2 p.m., on Sunday, Dec. 7, at the Franklin Unitarian Universalist Church. All friends and family are welcome.
