Fred V. Bailey Jr.

MEREDITH — Fred Varnum Bailey Jr. passed in peace on July 18, 2022, at Golden View nursing home in Meredith, where he was living peacefully for the past couple years.

He is survived by his three children and two sons-in-law, Kim and Mike, Amy and Keith, and Sean, and four grandchildren, Matthew, Katelyn, Madison and Connor.

Fred grew up in Quincy, Massachusetts, with his parents and two older sisters. He was a very talented woodworker who was known for creating toy boxes, shelves and cabinets for anyone he met. He built his own home in New Hampton twice, and eventually moved to Florida when the winters got too cold, making his way back to New Hampshire at the end of his life.

Fred would give you the shirt off his back and always made time for anyone who needed him, and his family and friends will miss him tremendously.

Dad, we will always carry your memory in our hearts, and “you know what, we love you!”
