MOULTONBOROUGH — Elijah G. Fazzina passed away unexpectedly due to an acute bronchial asthma attack at his home on Friday, Nov. 25, 2022.

Elijah was born on March 31, 1992, in Laconia, to David A. Fazzina and Melissa J. (Kelley) Fazzina.

Eli grew up in Center Harbor, attending and graduating from Inter-Lakes High School with the class 2010. He completed basic training with the U.S. Army at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, in the summer of 2009. He had a strong work ethic and appreciated work that challenged him physically and allowed him to use his hands. He never shied away from a task that involved getting his hands dirty. Growing up he loved spending time with his grandfather, and he took many of the life skills taught to him over the years and passed on that knowledge to his own children. His sons, Dalton and Jaeden, were his pride and joy. Eli, aka “Big Daddy,” enjoyed every moment spent with them, whether it was at the playground, in or on the water, driving around on the tractor, or his hands-on approach to teaching them how to build, repair, fix, and troubleshoot. His boys brought out the best in him and he was happiest when in their company.

If Eli was passionate about something, he would research it extensively and soak up every bit of information he could find. He enjoyed learning new skills related to his interests in welding, fabrication, and mechanics, and was proudly employed as a lead welder and fabricator at East Coast Welding. Previously, he was employed for many years at Center Harbor Dock and Pier.

Eli loved the great outdoors and enjoyed taking advantage of all the various seasonal outdoor recreational activities. He had a quick wit, strong convictions, a great sense of humor, tall stature, and you could always count on him to fiercely protect those he loved and cared about.

Elijah is survived by his two sons, Dalton Fazzina and Jaeden Fazzina; his father, David Fazzina of Newmarket; his mother, Melissa (Kelley) Fazzina of Center Harbor; his partner, Kaitlin Plante, of Moultonborough; his brother Jesse Fazzina and his family, of Belmont; his sister, Brianna (Fazzina) Belfontaine and her family, of Laconia; two half-brothers, two half-sisters, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Reginald and Jacqueline Kelley.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 5-7 p.m. in the Carriage House at Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home at 164 Pleasant St., Laconia.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
