MEREDITH — Doris Huffam Isabelle passed away on Feb. 9, 2026. She was 72 years old.

Born, May 27, 1953, in Natick, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Patricia Huffam.

Doris grew up in Framingham, Massachusetts, and then spent most of her life in the area she loved, Meredith and Laconia. She worked in the restaurant business for many years, including owning the Back Bay Boathouse Restaurant in Wolfeboro. She also worked at J. Jill for 17 years as a manager of customer service. For the last 20 years she reveled in escaping the cold winters to her place in Florida. There she was known for her generosity in cooking and delivering holiday meals to community members who were alone. Doris was known for her infectious laugh and her quick wit. She will be truly missed.

Doris is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Joseph Isabelle; her brother Robert Huffam and his wife Maureen of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; her sister Lynne (Huffam) Astin and her husband Donald of Meredith; and her sister-in-law Cathy Huffam of West Palm Beach, Florida. She was the sister of the late Richard Huffam and Craig Huffam. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, including lifelong friends, Terry Reilly and Sandra Carr.

A celebration of life will be held for Doris later this year. To honor Doris’s life, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s’ Foundation, alzfdn.org., in hopes of finding a cure for this debilitating disease.
