SPC Connor Joseph Wirth, 32, Army Infantry, passed away on Jan. 26, 2025. His life was marked by service, adventure, and a deep love for those around him.
Connor proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army Infantry out of Fort Carson, Colorado, with the 4th Infantry Division, earning numerous commendations for his dedication and bravery. Among his honors were the Afghanistan Campaign Medal with two Campaign Stars, The National Defense Service Medal, The Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, The Army Service Ribbon, the NATO Medal and an Army Commendation Medal. These accolades reflect his commitment to duty and his contributions to missions of global significance.
Outside his military service, Connor embraced life with a carefree spirit and an adventurous heart. A motorcycle enthusiast, he found joy on the open road and lived each day to its fullest. Those who knew him remember him as a kind soul who brought light and laughter into their lives.
He is survived by his parents, Robin McLaughlin and Otis and Christy Wirth; grandparents Donald and Carol Ouellette; siblings Justin Wirth and his wife Jessica, sisters Helen Tautkus and Skyler Tautkus, and Elizabeth Sturgeon and her husband Scott; nieces and nephews James, William, Claire, and Emma. Connor also leaves behind his beloved dogs, Beanie and Apollo, his constant companions.
Connor’s legacy of service and zest for life will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his memory bring comfort to all of those he touched.
A full Military Honors Ceremony will be held at the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, at 11 a.m., on Friday, Feb. 7, followed by a reception.
In place of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, Canines for Warriors, or your local humane society.
