LACONIA — Cleo Rachel (Houle) Greenwood, of 7 Church Street, died in her residence on July 12, 2003 after a period of failing health. She was born in Laconia on January 29, 1937, the daughter of Roland J. and Clemence (Caron) Houle.

Educated in the local parochial school system, she had resided in Belmont for many years prior to returning to Laconia. Mrs. Greenwood had been employed for many years at the former Allen-Rogers Company and later at Beede Electric Co. in Tilton until her retirement.

Family members include her husband, Clayton H. Greenwood of Laconia; a son, Michael A. Greenwood of Tilton; two grandsons, Anthony Greenwood of Tilton and Travis Greenwood of Farmington, Missouri; two sisters, Lorraine Baker of Boulton, Conn., and Bonnie J. Fleck of Maynard, Mass.; three brothers, Raymond Houle of Laconia, Armand J. Houle of Germany, and Parnell R. Houle of Maynard, Mass.; and nieces and nephews.

There are no calling hours. A graveside ceremony will be held in Sacred Heart Cemetery Friday at 11 a.m. Rev. Adrien Longchamps, pastor of Sacred Heart Church will officiate. At Cleo’s request flowers are to be omitted. The Simoneau & Lambert Funeral Home, 139 Church St. assisted the family with arrangements.
