Cheryl S. Morin, 73, of Laconia, passed away peacefully in the loving arms of her husband John on Aug. 4, 2025.
Cheryl was born on Aug. 22, 1951, in Laconia. She was the beloved daughter of Robert and Earline Sanborn. She graduated from Laconia High School in 1969, where she laid the groundwork for a life rich in love, family and community.
Cheryl began her professional journey at the family-owned business, Alphacolor Inc. in Laconia. After her work there, she served as an educator at Faith Christian Academy until its closure. In 2009, Cheryl and her husband, John Morin, along with their son, Brandon, launched a new venture, My Coffee House, situated on Court Street in Laconia.
A devoted Christian, Cheryl dedicated much of her life to serving the Lord, particularly in the children's ministry as teacher, along with various other church activities over the years. Her commitment to her faith and her church community was unwavering.
She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, John Morin; their children, Brandon Morin, Brent (Vanessa) Morin and Kristi Gigas; seven grandchildren, Coral, Lincoln, Gabby, Jared, Alana, Isaiah and Noah; brothers and sisters, Bob (Janet) Sanborn, Barbara (Bob) Bidwell, John (Deborah) Sanborn, Nancy (Drew) McKeen and Donald Sanborn (fiancé Kris Tripp); as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Earline Sanborn, who were also long-time residents of Laconia.
A celebration of Cheryl's life will be held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 13, at Faith Alive Christian Fellowship, 72 Primrose Drive, Laconia, followed by dinner and fellowship for all who wish to honor her memory.

So many children have been taught about Jesus by this woman, so many little ears heard through her. She is a treasure in heaven as she was here. I’m so so sorry to hear of her passing. I have no doubt she is resting in Heaven.
