BELMONT — Celeste (Duarte) Caramanica, 57, of 127 Stone Road, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia, on Sunday, July 6, 2003.
Celeste was born November 17, 1945 in Oak Bluffs, Mass., the daughter of Victor and Gertrude (Gazielle) Duarte. She was a native of Martha's Vineyard, moving to Belmont five years ago.
Survivors include a son, Roger Caramanica of Belmont; two daughters, Barbra Smith of Vineyard Haven, Mass., and Susan Amaral of Belmont; six grandchildren, Katrina Smith of Rhode Island, Justin Smith and Stacey Smith, both of Vineyard Haven, Mass., Jedadiah Amaral, Jamie Amaral and Shawna Amaral, all of Belmont; one great-grandchild, Sayde Clidence, of Rhode Island; five brothers, Douglas Duarte of New Mexico, Lawrence Duarte of Maine, Brian Duarte and Keith Duarte, both of Florida, and Gerald Duarte of Virginia; four sisters, Joyce Maciel of Gilmanton, Sandra McMullen of New Bedford, Mass., Sharon Reynolds of Belmont, and Trudi Varrieur of Litchfield; and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a sister, Vivian Allen.
Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2003, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia. A Funeral Service will follow the Calling Hours at 5:00 p.m., also at the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220-3049.
