Carlton L. Desautelle Jr., 89

 

LACONIA — Carlton Louis Desautelle, Jr., 89, of Fenton Avenue, died on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, at the Lakes Region General Hospital with his family by his side.

Carl was born on Aug. 27, 1928, in Alton, the son of Carlton L. and Florence E. (Frohock) Desautelle. He moved to Laconia from Alton 55 years ago.

Carl "Jit" had been a firefighter with the Laconia Fire Department for 22 years. He loved roller skating and dancing. He liked to hunt, going to the beach, dining out, road trips and most of all spending time with his family.

Survivors include two sons, Mark Desautelle and Matt Desautelle; three daughters, Lisa Desautelle Rojek, Laura Desautelle and Susan Kallum Desautelle; Grandchildren, Stacey Butman, Kathy Treadwell, Jeremy Rojek , Cody Rojek, Meghan Desautelle, Sean Desautelle, Alyssa Desautelle, Bryant Desautelle, Brady Desautelle, Amber Kallum, Eddie Kallum; great-grandchildren, Ryan Treadwell and Derrick Perkins; a great-great-grandchild, Rosalie Cartier; nephews, Ed Beemer and Gary Desautelle; and many more nephews and nieces. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Louise F. (Casey) Desautelle; his grandchild, Courtney Rojek; and by his great-grandchild, Rhianna Santiago.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Feb. 24, from 2-4 p.m. at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 164 Pleasant St., Laconia, using the Carriage House entrance.
