Barbara R. Patterson, 93

LACONIA — Barbara Robie Patterson, 93, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2026, at Concord Hospital in Concord.

Barbara was born June 11, 1932, in Cabot, Vermont, the daughter of Ernest S. Robie and Alice M. (Matthews) Robie. She spent her childhood in the Plymouth, area and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1950. She continued her education at Laconia Business College earning an associate’s degree.

During her working career Barbara especially enjoyed her time at Lewis and Saunders, working for William Saunders earning her way from secretary to purchasing agent. She also truly enjoyed her time at Stafford Oil as office manager, working with Charlie Stafford and Warren Mitchell.

Barbara had a quick wit, enjoyed a good joke and was an independent spirit.

She enjoyed reading, vegetable gardening, oil painting, making pierced and pressed flower lampshades and taught lampshade making. She loved to travel and was able to go to Europe with friends many times. She also traveled often in the United States and Canada. Her dogs from Buffy to Maggie to Peanut and Misty were all her favorite. She loved them all!

Barbara is survived by her son Richard H. Pease (Polly) of Laconia, and daughter Katherine A. Yeo (Tom) of Tilton; brother William Robie Sr. of Alexandria; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren with a great-great-granddaughter due in May. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Along with her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Donald R. Patterson Sr., brother Kenneth Robie, and her first husband, Howard Pease.

Burial will be held at a later date at Riverside Cemetery, Plymouth.
