Andrew (Andy) Sorette III passed away on Jan. 6, 2024, due to declining health, one day before his 70th birthday.

Andy was born in Franklin on Jan. 7, 1954, to Andrew (Pete) Sorette Jr. and Lorraine (Croteau) Sorette. Andy was predeceased by his mother Lorraine Sorette in 2017.

He leaves his daughter Danielle Mary Brown of Northfield and grandchildren Noah, Michael, Dean and Dezzie, his dad Andrew (Pete) Sorette II, brothers Michael Sorette, Ricky Sorette, Bruce Sorette and wife Sharon (Haas) and sister Sharon (Sorette) Jacques, also several cousins, nieces, nephews and Aunt.

As a youth you could often find Andy at Odell Park practicing hockey and skating. Andy played football in high school; he loved sports and often watched almost any sport on the television.

Andy attended St. Mary’s and Franklin High School in Franklin, graduation class of 1973. He continued his studies at Laconia Vocational Technical Institute before joining the U.S. Navy stationed on the USS Saipan for several years.

After the Navy Andy worked as a journeyman electrician, being employed by electrical contractors Stellos, Street, Gove, Doherty and Oak Hill. Others job include Watts Water Technologies in Franklin.

During his retirement Andy spent his summers in Tilton and winters in New Orleans, Louisiana, often stopping at Virginia Beach on his back to New Hampshire.

There will be no calling hours. The burial and service with military honors will be private to family members and will take place at the Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen on Tuesday, Jan. 23, at 11 a.m.
