BELMONT — Adrienne Marie (Lemay) Mazzei, 72, of Belmont, passed away peacefully on Dec. 27, 2025, at Concord Hospital after a brief and valiant battle with pancreatic cancer.

She was born on June 24, 1953, the daughter of the late Adrienne (Blanchard) and Normand Lemay of Manchester.

After graduating from Manchester’s Trinity (previously, Immaculata) High School, Adrienne started her career at the nearby Thornton & Thornton Law Firm as a legal secretary. While on a blind date at a bowling alley, she met Eugene F. Mazzei of Lincoln, whom she would go on to marry and share 52 wonderful years. Together, they built a life and a family, eventually relocating and thriving in Belmont. Raising her growing children by day, Adrienne also worked nights and weekends at Shaw’s Supermarket for 10 years. Later on, she landed her dream job as a secretary and bookkeeper for St. Joseph’s Parish in Belmont, serving there for over 19 years.

Among Adrienne’s many interests were cooking, gardening, traveling, sewing, cross stitch, and her precious golden retrievers. She was also a voracious reader throughout her life, finishing over 800 books in the past five years alone. However, her biggest passion beyond her family in later life was golf. As an active member of the Den Brae Golf Course, she could be found on the course three seasons a year, walking several rounds per week.

In addition to her husband Eugene, surviving family members include her three sons, Joshua Mazzei and his wife Deanna of Laconia, Christopher Mazzei of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Kevin Mazzei and his wife Lei of Katy, Texas; and daughter Stephanie McCarthy and her husband Sean of Epping. Adrienne adored her six grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as her brother Normand “Skip” Lemay and his wife Gloria of Virginia, and her two sisters, Susan Kirk and her husband Timothy of Pennsylvania, and Ann Bouthiette and her husband Brian of Manchester.

Strong in faith and kindness — Adrienne lived a remarkable, beautiful life of quiet strength, dedicated to serving her family and her community. She left too soon, and she is sorely missed. Hers was a life well-lived.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Parish, 96 Main St., Belmont, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 17, with a remembrance celebration immediately following in the parish hall.

The Rite of Committal and burial will be at the Riverside Cemetery in Lincoln, at a future date to be announced.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that you donate to the Lakes Region Visiting Nurse Association, 186 Waukewan St., Meredith, NH 03253, or lrvna.org.
