LACONIA — The Tall Granite Big Band will perform at Pitman's Freight Room on Saturday, Feb. 22, at 8 p.m. The 18-member band has roots in Texas, with music collected over 70 years by late Houston bandleader Johnny Dyson. Blues and Latin influences help distinguish the band today. Members come from around the Granite State, and their focus is on dancing. Free dance lessons are offered before the show, 7–8 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m., and tickets are $20. For reservations, call 603-494-3334.
