LACONIA — Powerhouse Theatre Collaborative, the resident theater company of the Colonial Theatre in Laconia, is offering a new session of its popular eight week improv workshop.
The eight week class for adults will begin on Tuesday, July 14, and be held at the Woodside Building at the Taylor Community in Laconia. There are only three spots remaining and are available on a first come, first served basis.
“Improvisation is a fantastic way to build skills as an actor and to build confidence overall," instructor Amanda Wagner said. "This workshop will be a great chance to step outside of your comfort zone in a welcoming and fun-loving environment. There are literally no wrong answers, it’s improv after all."
The course will be held on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and will culminate in a showcase performance for friends and family at the final class on Sept. 8. There is no class on Aug. 4.
The workshop is appropriate for both beginners as well as people with improv experience. The cost for the workshop is $80, if this presents a hardship there are some scholarship opportunities. For those interested in registering go to powerhousenh.org/workshops.
