GILFORD — Center State Wellness, a provider of psychiatric and whole-person mental health services, has opened a new office in the Lakes Region, expanding access to quality care in central New Hampshire.

The new location at 25 Country Club Road, Suite 504 in Gilford offers a range of personalized mental health services for children, adolescents, and adults.

The expansion brings Sarah Mazzola, a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner and Lakes Region native, back to her hometown. Mazzola recently relocated from the Seacoast to Laconia with her husband and two children. She said she is excited to serve her community.

“I’m from the Lakes Region originally, so this feels like coming full circle,” said Mazzola. “There’s something meaningful about working with the people and places that shaped you. I’m grateful to be part of this new chapter at Center State Wellness.”

Mazzola specializes in treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and substance use. She works with both adolescents and adults and emphasizes a patient-centered, collaborative approach.

“Everyone’s carrying something — stress, trauma, difficult thoughts — and they’re doing their best to manage,” she said. “My role is to create a space where people feel heard, supported, and empowered to figure out what’s right for them.”

Center State Wellness has served New Hampshire for six years and is known for integrating evidence-based psychiatric care with a focus on whole-person wellness. The practice offers psychiatric evaluations, medication management, medication-assisted treatment for substance use, and telehealth services for flexibility and convenience.

“We’re proud to be expanding into the Lakes Region and to welcome Sarah to our team,” said Clinical Director of Center State Wellness Russell Howard. “She brings local insight, clinical expertise, and a real heart for this work.”

Howard founded Center State Wellness to address gaps in mental health care and build a model rooted in compassion and respect.

“We believe mental health care should be individualized, collaborative, and grounded in trust,” Howard said. “It’s not just about reducing symptoms. It’s about helping people reconnect with their inner strength and find their way back to center.”

The new Gilford office expands access for Lakes Region residents seeking treatment for common mental health concerns as well as support for ongoing wellness and recovery.

Services include:

• Psychiatric evaluations and medication management

• Medication-assisted treatment, including injectable options like Sublocade and Vivitrol:

• Telehealth appointments

• Non-traditional treatment options, including lifestyle recommendations

Center State Wellness serves individuals age 6 and up.
