The Rock on! Tribute Band will pay homage to the late Bob Harding, as the opening act for this Friday’s Lynyrd Skynyrd and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts concert at Meadowbrook U.S. Cellular Pavilion. Harding, was the visionary founder of Meadowbrook who passed away last year, leaving behind a nationally recognized venue. At his funeral, good friend and Meadowbrook partner Greg Miner performed a song he had written for Bob titled, “Say Hi to Johnny”. The lyrics were a farewell to Bob as he went to reunite with Johnny Cash in heaven. “Greg wrote such a beautiful song for my father's memorial service that I thought other people might appreciate the way it honors his legacy," said RJ Harding.

The Rock On! Tribute Band, got its name from Bob’s favorite saying and parting advice “Rock On”! The band consists of Bob's son, RJ, on guitar and vocals; Luke Harding (RJ's youngest son) on guitar and vocals; Nick Merriam (RJ's oldest son) on bass; Greg Miner of Weirs Beach on guitar and vocals; Doug Gray of Belmont on lead guitar and vocals; Beau Skonieczny of Meredith on Drums and Chris Bonoli of Barnstead on guitar and vocals.
