GILFORD — Lake Winnipesaukee’s surface is well traveled, but beneath the surface there are several curiosities to discover. Scuba diver and history buff Hans Hug Jr. will present his illustrated talk "Wrecks of Winnipesaukee" today, Tuesday, July 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Gilford Public Library.
Hug has 28 years of diving experience and has used side scan sonar to help him find artifacts under water. He has located more than 70 wrecks and has taken photographs and videos during his dives.
The presentation will last approximately 75 minutes with time for questions and answers. Interested participants can contact the Gilford Public Library at library@gilfordlibrary.org, call 524-6042, or text 367-0264 with any question.
