Meredith Rotary recently issued a check to the town in the amount of $8,000 to construct a permanent sign at Hesky Park.
The sign, which will list town notices and various community events, will be erected this fall. In February it will be dedicated at the Rotary's Fishing Derby as its Centennial Project commemorating Rotary International 100-Year Celebration.
Town Manager Carol Granfield accepted the check on behalf of the town, and expressed appreciation to the rotary for its contribution.
