LACONIA — Photographer Jay Fitzpatrick of East Andover will be the featured speaker at the April 18 meeting of the Lakes Region Art Association. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. at the Taylor Community, 435 Union Ave., Laconia.
His presentation, titled "The Science, Art and Joy of Digital Photography," will focus on simplifying the complexities of digital cameras and various software programs and how they can open up a world of creative possibilities. His presentation will include a slide show of some of his own work, along with images from some of his favorite photographers. The session is free and open to the public.
Fitzpatrick describes his photographic style as "eclectic," as he is open to a variety of subjects, styles and techniques. His goal is to create art with his camera and post-processing skills, using light, color, composition and software to create visual interest.
