BELMONT — Join the Belmont Library on the back lawn for "Giant Games" on Monday, July 11, from 1 to 5 p.m. Try out massive versions of games like Jenga, croquet and tic-tac-toe.

Are you tackling classic literature this summer or looking for something light? Join the "Beach Reads Party" on July 25 at 4 p.m. to discuss the best books for summer. Preregistration appreciated.

The adult book group is discussing "Me Before You" by Jojo Moyes, now in theaters. A love story for this generation, "Me Before You" brings to life two people who couldn't have less in common, a heartbreakingly romantic novel that asks: What do you do when making the person you love happy also means breaking your own heart? Copies are available at the library. Discussion meets Friday, July 15, at 10:30 a.m.

The Belmont Elementary school is hosting a CLiF Summer Reader Storyteller and Book Giveaway on Tuesday, July 19, at 8:30 a.m. This event is part of the elementary school's Year of the Book, provided by a grant from the Children's Literacy Foundation. The Children's Literacy Foundation is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to inspire a love of reading and writing among children up to age 12 throughout New Hampshire and Vermont. Since 1998, CLiF has served more than 180,000 low-income, at-risk, and rural children in 400 communities across every region of the New Hampshire and Vermont.

Weekly events during July

Kids:

• Grade School Club – Tuesdays at 2 p.m., with themes like Harry Potter, Minecraft and Ozobots.

• Multi-Age Storytime – Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m.

• LEGO Free Play – Thursdays at 2 p.m.

Teens:

• Middle and high schoolers welcome for movies, crafts, games Fridays at 2 p.m.

Adults:

• Chair Yoga – Mondays July 11 to Aug. 1, 11 a.m.

• Craft n' Laugh – Thursdays 5:30 p.m.

• Adult Walking Group – Fridays 9 a.m., families welcome.
