LACONIA — Pike Industries’ employees spoke loud and clear when it came to support of the Lakes Region United Way. Reaching out to employees in New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont with great enthusiasm, over $60,000 was pledged for 2010-11 and will be invested back into the communities where it was raised.
Pike’s CEO Christian Zimmermann shared, “Community is a core value at Pike Industries, and we have a long history of being supportive in many different ways. Our relationship with the United Way is based on our belief that their model is a highly effective way to create positive community changes that affect all of us. I am extremely proud of the generosity and community spirit the employees of Pike Industries demonstrate year in and year out.”
According to Lakes Region United Way President Jack Terrill, “We are pleased with the results of Pike’s fundraising efforts, once again kicking off our campaign year with a success. Not only do their employees truly understand how they can collectively meet community needs, Pike’s management doubled employee contributions with a 100-percent match. This leadership example provides tremendous results and allows us to magnify our impact through their participation. Over the past five years, Pike has raised over $250,000 to be invested in community care. We are proud of our relationship with Pike Industries.”
Lakes Region United Way’s mission is to advance the common good through thoughtful and sustainable social investment. To learn more about how to join others supporting these efforts, call United Way at 524-6864 or visit their website at www.LRUW.org.
