Lakeview Chiropractic slates grand opening for Oct. 23

MEREDITH — Lakeview Chiropractic and Wellness at 290 Daniel Webster Highway in Meredith is now open. Dr. Nick Gardner is the owner and chiropractor. He says "chiropractic care needs to move in a more scientific direction. One where we can demonstrate our therapy is achieving the outcomes the patient desires."

The public is invited to a grand opening celebration on Oct. 23 from 3-6 p.m.

The clinic is results oriented with a unique starting point for patients. Gardner says "Our first step in care is getting a comprehensive blood panel. Pain and discomfort is often the effect of dysfunction in the organ systems of the body. Systemic inflammation, for example, can be a cause for pain and it can elevate pain intensity. We don't just want to address problems the patient knows about, but also the problems they don't know about. The comprehensive blood panel allows me to see not just the problems a patient has, but what they are going to have in the future if they do not alter the course. I think the model is very empowering for people to act proactively on their health." The care model is unique not just for the region, but also for the profession.

The typical chiropractic treatment lasts for 10-25 minutes. Lakeview Chiropractic and Wellness will be doing 60 minute appointments. Gardner explains, "We believe in a comprehensive and individual approaches to care. Each patient is different and using a cookie cutter method is not going to yield the best result. The entire appointment will be 1-on-1 with the doctor. In that hour we can do all the therapy a patient needs and talk about dietary or lifestyle strategies to keep them healthy. Many patients in the past have told me that the longer visit is better and it allows them to connect and tell their story. Those patients are right. I can't imagine cramming treatment into a 13 minute window." The 13 minute window is from the 2016 Physician Compensation Report ,which found the time doctors spend with patients per visit to be 13-16 minutes.
