Ann Olson will be teaching a class in making knitted lace at the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen in Meredith on Sept. 23 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
"I have been knitting for over 50 years and discovered some knitted lace patterns in the early 1970's," Olson said.. "I've been collecting them ever since. In addition to the artistry of the pieces and the fact that they are knitted, what attracted me was the challenge of working such complicated and intricate patterns. Although meant to be doillies, I also finish many of them as wall hangings or ornaments to better show off the delicate beauty of the designs."
