On Sunday, Feb. 17 John Gill will present an exhibition of his photography and poetry entitled, “Mother Earth, Father Sky” at the First United Methodist Church of Rt. 11-A. The evening will begin with a pot luck supper at 5:30 p.m., to be followed by the poetry reading and photo slideshow.

Gill is a professional photographer specializing in images of nature, wildlife, travel, and New England. His images are published regularly and have won numerous awards. His magazine clients include: Country, Birds and Blooms, Birder’s World, New Hampshire, NH Wildlife Journal, and Yankee to name a few. Corporate clients include Northeast Delta Dental, Lakes Region General Hospital, the state of New Hampshire, Vutek Inc., as well as various publishing companies and tourism agencies.

Gill has been honored as "Photographer of the Year" two times by the New Hampshire Professional Photographers Association. On four occasions his prints have received the prestigious Fuji Masterpiece Award for photographic excellence. The result of his passion, persistence, and attention to detail John’s images capture the true depth of feeling in the natural world and stir emotions in many who view his work. The pictures range from tiny birds at play in the snow to running horses and giant trees reaching for the sky.

This pot luck supper and exhibition are free and open to the public. If you would like to attend the meal please bring a casserole or dessert to share.
