Jen Cotton Grad nursing scholarships awarded

In a ceremony earlier this month, Scott Shepard and Allison Walton were co-presented with the 2007 Jennifer Cotton Grad Memorial Scholarship.

The scholarship was awarded in honor of Jen Cotton Grad, BSN, MS, an enthusiastic nurse for years at LRGHealthcare. She loved life and being a nurse, and teaching was a passion for Jen.

Given by her family the scholarship honors someone who shares the passion Jen had for education and nursing. Special consideration was given to graduates of Inter-Lakes High School, who have been accepted into a nursing program, and to LRGHealthcare nurses who wanted to further their education.

Shepard is a Licensed Practical Nurse at LRGHealthcare and is pursuing his RN degree, and Walton is enrolled in the nursing program at St. Joseph’s College. Like Jen, she is a graduate of Inter-Lakes High School.
