LACONIA — Fusion, a non-profit organization promoting civic engagement, education, and strategic relationship-building, will hold its first "Inspired by Fusion" Non-Profit Fair on Wednesday, Feb. 19, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Belknap Mill.
The purpose of the event is to assist leaders and volunteers in the various groups in matching up, allowing them to blend their talents in an area they are passionate about. By gathering a diverse array of Lakes Region non-profit organizations, Fusion hopes to encourage community members of all ages to find out what the Lakes Region has to offer and learn about the non-profits that could use a helping hand.
Opportunities for involvement may vary between spontaneous volunteer shifts or events, ongoing volunteer service, and board and committee service.
Participants at the fair will include the Belknap County Economic Development Council, the Circle Program, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) NH, the Faith, Hope, and Love Foundation, the Greater Lakes Child Advocacy Center, Hands Across the Table, the Belknap Mill Society, the Laconia Historical and Museum Society, Laconia Kiwanis, Laconia Muskrats, Lakes Region Community Services, Lakes Region Municipal Volunteer Opportunities, Leadership Lakes Region, Network for Educational Opportunity, New Beginnings, NH Humane Society, New Horizons Band of the Lakes Region, People Investing in Community and Kids (PICK), Prescott Farm Environmental Education Center, the Rich Velasquez Youth Sports Equipment Foundation, the Santa Fund, ServiceLink, and the WOW Trail.
The Belknap Mill is located at 25 Beacon Street East, Laconia. For more information on Inspired by Fusion, visit Facebook.com/NHfusion or contact FusionNH603@gmail.com.
