MEREDITH — The Friends of the Meredith Library are hosting the first book sale of 2018 Thursday-Saturday, Feb. 15 -17. This annual event features hardcover and paperback books, children's books, coffee table and specialty books. Sales are by donation.
With the purchase of a first-time (new) membership with the Friends, you will receive a very sturdy and attractive "Friends of the Meredith Library" canvas book bag which can be filled one time with books free of charge. Memberships may be purchased or renewed at the door.
Funds raised by the Friends support the library's children and adult programs; provide passes to Squam Lakes Natural Science Center, Castlein Clouds, and various other museums; help fund guest speakers from the New Hampshire Humanities Council, and other activities.
The times for the sale are as follows: Thursday from 9 a.m.-6 p.m.; Friday from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.; and Saturday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. For more information, or to volunteer to help, call 603-279-4303.
