GILFORD — A free community-wide health fair that will be held Saturday, May 14, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the First United Methodist Church will feature exhibitors from around the Lakes Region.
Fair exhibitors include Asea Wellness, Awakening Chiropractic, Comfort Keepers, Community Action Program of Belknap/Merrimack Counties, Downtown Gym, Easter Seals/Caring Companion, First United Methodist Church of Gilford, Genesis Behavioral Health, Gilford Physical Therapy & Spine Center, Grace Wellness Center, Healing Lakes Chiropractic, Lakes Region VNA, LRGHealthcare, MC Cycle, New England Blast, Nikken Wellness, Taylor Community, Wesley Woods and more.
Workshops will be held throughout the day on: Mindfulness, Healthy Vitamins, Bicycle Safety, Diabetes 010, Drug Talk, Concussion Talk, Caregiver Support, Medications, Nutrition, Emotional Freedom Technique, Healing Touch and Wellness, Chair Yoga, Tai Chi, Zumba and Stress Ball making.
There will also be individual health screenings available to include height and weight measurements, BMI, blood pressure measurements, and blood sugar measurement. These are done privately to protect personal information.
