Lakes Region Bride Magazine will be presenting its second annual Castle Wedding Affair on Sunday, October 19 from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at historic Castle in the Clouds in Moultonborough, according to magazine owner Kathi Caldwell-Hopper.
"Last year’s bridal show was a resounding success and a whole lot of fun,” Hooper said. “This year we are featuring some talented bridal vendors, as well as giving away some incredible grand prizes.”
Brides can pre-register for the show online; this will save them the time of filling out a registration form at the door. All they need do when they arrive at the show is pay their admission fee (and brunch admission if they wish to have brunch) and then enjoy the show. Pre-registering saves time at the door, and all brides who pre-register or register at the door will be placed in the drawing for door prizes throughout the show, as well as the grand prizes.
Just what are those coveted grand prizes?
“Our grand prizes will offer a lot of things brides-to-be want. First, we have a grand prize honeymoon giveaway of five days and four nights accommodations on the island of Oahu, Hawaii from Ultimate Choice Travel of Canterbury, owned by Michael Guerin. Michael is passionate about travel and he loves to be at bridal shows to help brides choose a great honeymoon. The hotel accommodation grand prize is every bride’s dream gift. Who wouldn’t want to honeymoon in Hawaii?” asks Hopper.
For those brides who dreams of getting married at the Castle, the dream may come true at the Castle Wedding Affair show.
“The Castle is very generously giving away a grand prize of a complete wedding ceremony," added Hooper. "The Castle is the perfect place for a wedding ceremony and I haven’t met a bride yet who doesn’t see this as the ultimate fantasy wedding. One lucky bride will find her dream has come true when we pick a winner for this great prize.”
Complete Lifestyle Photography will be giving away our third grand prize, which is full wedding photography, including up to eight hours of wedding day photography, among other features. Visit Complete Lifestyle Photography at www.completelifestylephotography.com.
Andrea’s Bridal Boutique of Rochester will be providing the bridal fashions for the show, and they are giving away a crystal tiara headpiece to provide the elegant finishing touch for any wedding ensemble.
During the day of the show, wedding professionals will take over the Castle’s carriage house. There will be cakes and flowers and photography and a lot more. Best of all for any bride-to-be are the fashions by Andrea’s Bridal Boutique Lady of the Lake of Meredith.
The show will be a great place to shop for the wedding services needed to have a great ceremony and reception. It’s also just a fun place to be, with the views, the history of the Castle and the goodies to sample.
Mike Janis of Hampshire Culinary and Event Planning are catering the brunch offered during the show. Seating will be on the patio, which will be tented in case of rain. Also featured will be music, cake tasting by Hemlock Confections, instant updos by Galleria Salon and Day Spa of Laconia, massage and skin consultations by The Gateway Spa of Weirs Beach, among other special offerings.
Molly the Trolley will be parked outside so brides can come aboard and consider the uniqueness of transporting wedding party and/or guests by trolley. Also on site will be beautiful limousines by Prestige Limousine Service of Plymouth.
“Michelle Wiggs of Divine Inspirations has again outdone herself by designing table dressings (linens) for the show in fall colors. You’ll know you’ve arrived at the show when you see her bright feather flags lining the parking area near the carriage house,” says Hopper.
The cash bar at the Castle will be open during the show and the Castle staff will be serving special fall foliage wedding cocktails; proof of ID is required.
Doors for the show open at 11:30 am and the grand prizes will be drawn at 2:55 p.m.; brides-to-be who have registered must be present to win. Some restrictions apply to prizes.
