Peggy Roth, creator of the League of NH Craftsmen’s annual ornament for 2010, will demonstrate how she creates such beautiful ornaments at the League of NH Craftsmen retail gallery from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 10th.

Roth's appearance is part of the League’s “Spirit of the Maker” series and will feature Two Turtle Doves, the artist's handmade three-dimensional wood mobile, a sequel to her 2007 annual ornament, A Partridge in a Pear Tree.

A juried member of the League since 1993, Roth has created more than 115 mobile designs, representing a wide variety of birds, animals, and creatures, both real and imaginary. Each mobile is made with furniture-grade birch plywood, detailed with woodburning, and hand-painted with enamel paint and oil stain.

Roth's demonstration is free and open to the public. For more information call 279-7920 or e-mail nhcraft@worldpath.net.
