On June 25 and 26 AARP will be offering its Mature Driving Program at the Meredith Library on Main Street. The two four hour sessions run from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and a $10 fee is required. Preregistration is also required. To register call Bob or Kay Kennelly at 279-1487.
The class covers strategies at driver improvement, designed especially for motorists 50 and over. The classroom experience emphasizes defensive driving techniques, including new traffic laws and rules of the road, as well as how to adjust your driving to age-related changes in vision, hearing and reaction time. There are no tests and completing the course results in a certificate enabling insurance discounts from certain insurance companies serving New Hampshire.
