SANBORNTON — It’s For the Kids Community Challenge Team Verani Realty Reindeers has opened registration for their second annual golf tournament to benefit the Greater Lakes Region Children’s Auction.
The tournament will be Thursday, June 9 at Den Brae Golf Course in Sanbornton, with a 9 a.m. shotgun start. Registration is open to the public.
“It’s a great way to get outside with friends, have fun, and raise much needed funds for the Children’s Auction,” said Deb Peverly, who co-captains Team Verani with her husband Greg, as well as Mitch Hamel and Susan Cummins Harris.
Pre-paid reservations are $75 per person for teams of four and include a cart, a round of golf, and lunch. “We’ll also be awarding prizes and having a raffle,” added Peverly, “all for the kids!”
Every year, Community Challenge teams like Verani Realty Reindeer hold fundraising events to support the Greater Lakes Region Children’s Auction. The Auction then distributes funds to local non-profit organizations that provide basic needs to area children, as well as funds to agencies that provide educational or recreational opportunities children may not be able to afford elsewhere.
Anyone interested in more information on the golf tournament, or to sign up, should contact Peverly at deb.perverly@verani.com, Hamel at mitch.hamel@verani.com, or Harris at
susan/cummins@verani.com. Businesses are also encouraged to contact Peverly, Harris, or
Hamel if they’re interested in sponsoring a hole for $50.
“Space is limited,” Peverly said, “so early registration is encouraged.”
