TILTON — The New Hampshire Department of Transportation will continue work on I-93 northbound and southbound in Northfield and Tilton starting on Tuesday, May 26, through Friday, June 12.
Weather permitting, work will consist of milling and paving both lanes beginning just south of Exit 19 and ending just north of Exit 20 between mile markers 54-57.2. The northbound work is scheduled to be done between the hours of 5 a.m. and 3 p.m. and the southbound work is scheduled between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Lane closures and detours are required. Intermittent ramp closures at Exits 19 and 20 will divert traffic to Canterbury or Sanbornton exits.
Message boards, uniformed officers, traffic control devices, and flaggers are being used to notify the traveling public of the work. Road users are also encouraged to sign up for free, real-time construction and traffic related messages (text or email) from newengland511.org.
Continental Paving Inc. of Londonderry, is the general contractor for the $3.2 million project, which is scheduled for completion this year.
