MOULTONBOROUGH — The Moultonborough Public Library is partnering with Granite VNA to offer a new program designed to engage and stimulate adults living with dementia and their caregivers: Tales & Travel Memories. This free program kicks off on Friday, July 19, and will be held on the third Friday of every month until March 2025, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Tales & Travel Memories, originally implemented by the Gail Borden Memorial, is being provided at the Moultonborough Public Library thanks to grant funding from the Network of the National Library of Medicine. It will be facilitated by the Granite VNA.
Each month, Tales & Travel Memories will whisk participants on an imaginary global adventure, enriching the experience with curated books and traditional folktales. In this welcoming environment, attendees share travel memories and forge new connections, all while enjoying cognitive stimulation through storytelling, music, and more. Designed for those with dementia and their caregivers, the program fosters reminiscing, social interaction, and a fun learning experience.
The inaugural Tales & Travel Memories session on Friday, July 19, will set sail for Guatemala. To register, visit moultonboroughlibrary.org, or call 603-476-8895.
