MEREDITH — Singer songwriter Mary Gatchell will perform at Hermit Woods Winery’s Loft Listening Room on Thursday, Aug. 25. Gatchell is a dynamic singer, pianist, and Epping native who creates a unique blend of provocative lyrics and unexpected harmonies.
Influenced by Stevie Wonder and Joni Mitchell, Mary will take you on a soulful journey from jazz and blues to soul and pop. This dynamic artist has eight albums of original music to her credit and more to come.
In 2018, Mary was the pianist for Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Jesus Christ Superstar starring John Legend, Sara Bareilles, and Alice Cooper, which aired Easter Sunday live on NBC and re-aired on Easter 2020. Starting in 2019, she became a sub Conductor and pianist on stage on Broadway for Sara Bareilles’ show, Waitress! Mary is currently the rehearsal pianist and sub Conductor for the new Broadway hit, Six The
The show begins at 6 p.m. with singer-songwriter Colin Hart on guitar. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy some food, fine wine, or craft beer from the eatery. Following the opening act, Mary will take the stage and the audience is asked to remain quiet for the duration of her performance.
