MEREDITH — The League of NH Craftsmen - Meredith Fine Craft Gallery is hosting an exhibit during the month of June entitled “Hope is the Thing with Feathers” inspired by birds.

After a tumultuous 2020, the Meredith Gallery decided that the first themed exhibit for 2021 would be based on this poem of the same name by Emily Dickinson. While it is not specifically about birds, it expresses the feeling of hope for the future.

Sandra Grant is one of the featured artists for this exhibit. She attended Boston’s School of the Museum of Fine Arts, and currently holds a bachelor’s in fine arts and a master’s in art education. While she has dabbled in all sorts of art from weaving to painting, her current focus is rug hooking images of birds. Grant will be exhibiting a variety of her bird-themed pieces that will be available to purchase at the Meredith Gallery throughout the month of June.

To inquire about her work, call us at 603-279-7920 or stop into the gallery at 279 Daniel Webster Highway, Meredith.
