Prescott Farm shares schedule for fall 2026 programs

LACONIA — Prescott Farm Environmental Education Center is excited to announce the release of its Fall 2026 Program Guide, offering a diverse range of opportunities for people of all ages to learn, explore, and connect with the natural world year-round.

From creative arts and culinary workshops to guided nature hikes and garden explorations, the fall schedule includes:

• Hands-on workshops: Traditional crafts such as making fall vases out of natural materials and beeswax resist black walnut dyeing.
• Culinary arts: Garden-to-table cooking classes, sourdough bread making, and nature-inspired baking led by Chef LaShunda Allen.
• Outdoor exploration: Guided nature hikes, moonlit fall tractor tour, and a wild edible and medicinal plant walk.
• Creative expression: "Nature Inspires Art" sessions hosted by local artist Larry Frates, autumn and winter wreath workshops, and homemade candles.

“Our goal is to encourage people to connect with their natural outdoors and build community,” said Sophie Acampora, communications and events director. “Whether you’re learning a new skill or simply exploring our trails, these programs offer meaningful ways to engage with the environment during all months of the year no matter your experience level.”

In addition to adult programs, Prescott Farm offers year-round educational experiences for preschool, school-aged, and homeschool learners:

• Polliwogs (ages 2+): A weekly discovery program for toddlers and their caregivers. Held select Wednesdays from 10-11:30 a.m. 
• Homeschool Series (ages 6-14): Specialized nature-based curriculum held every Friday from 10 a.m.-noon. Accompanying adult required. Education Freedom Account payments accepted.
• Private Programs: Create a unique, memorable experience by scheduling a private program with one of our knowledgeable instructors at Prescott Farm. Offered year-round on a wide-range of topics.
