LACONIA — Hundreds of boat, car, watercraft and motorcycle enthusiasts will return to Lake Winnipesaukee on Saturday, July 10, to celebrate luau-style for the 20th annual HK Powersports Land and Lake Poker Run to benefit Easter Seals New Hampshire.
The family-friendly event was started in 2001 when the first Poker Run raised just over $17,000. Now, 20 years later, the Poker Run has raised more than $1,000,000 for Easterseals New Hampshire.
After canceling last year’s 20th anniversary event due to the pandemic, the committee is glad to bring the Poker Run back this year to its traditional Saturday after the Fourth of July.
Participants will cruise on and around Lake Winnipesaukee by boat or other watercraft, car, or motorcycle, receiving playing cards in sealed envelopes that they’ll return to a group of dealers at the Naswa Resort.
The Poker Run is celebrated on the beach with a large luau-style lunch buffet, beach games, a 50/50 raffle and music by DJ Terry Moran.
Top hands for both land and lake will receive $500 sponsored prizes from Tito’s Handmade Vodka. Join the High Rollers Club for an extra donation and increase the odds, sponsored by WDW Machine, Keller Williams Lakes & Mountains, and The Legacy Home Group. The high roller with the best hand will win $1,000 from the sponsored prize.
New this year is a live auction featuring a new, 2021 model Sea Doo GTI 90 personal watercraft on a Yacht Club trailer, as well as sporting and music experiences, and vacations. The raffle's grand prize this year is $5,000 cash. Additional prizes include a lakeside cottage stay, a Saber stainless grill, an Old Town Saranac canoe, an Old Town Heron kayak, and a twenty-foot Maui Mat.
The run is open to those 18 years of age or older. Registration is $55 and includes participation in the event, a buffet pass, an event shirt, and a raffle ticket.
