MEREDITH – The Meredith Rotary Club recently completed a project to support The Loon Center in Moultonborough. Through a $13,000 investment, the Rotary Club funded the preparation, materials, and construction of a storage shed located next to The Loon Preservation Committee’s staff housing building.

Rotarians custom-built this storage shed, which will play a crucial role in helping The Loon Preservation Committee securely store fuel containers, field supplies, and other essential equipment that could not be housed in existing buildings.

Executive Director of the Loon Preservation Committee Harry Vogel said, “Meredith Rotary Club has been a great supporter of the Loon Preservation Committee’s work in many ways over many years. For the last 29 years, they have provided free hotdogs, drinks, chips, and ice cream to all who attend our annual July Loon Festival. This fall, they donated a 10’ x 16’ stick-built shed, which was the solution to a problem of storing fuel containers, field supplies, and equipment. We very much appreciate Meredith Rotary’s continued support of our work.”
