Meredith Lions Club to host 'A Day at The Mug' for food insecure

On Friday, Feb. 6, The Mug Restaurant will be hosting "A Day at The Mug" in cooperation with the Meredith Lions Club to support the local food pantry. Ten percent of all the monies taken in will be donated to help feed those in need in the community, takeout included. The idea is when guests enjoy a meal, it helps someone with food insecurity enjoy a meal. Club members will be at the restaurant between open hours, 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., to answer any questions about what Lions do and sell tickets for the two raffle baskets, one full of sweets just in time for Valentine's Day and the other filled with scratch tickets. Attendees do not need to be present to win. Winners will be drawn at 8 p.m. The Mug can be reached at 603-279-8596 for more information. (Courtesy photo)
